Every Saturday! Open Studio Saturdays are our weekly retail hours and feature open studios, breathtaking galleries and fun boutiques, making them a perfect time to take a quiet afternoon stroll around our lovely building. Beat the crowds, find a treasure, and talk with the artists who work and create here every day.

Art-A-Whirl® 2025 - May 16-18, 2025

Art-A-Whirl® is a district-wide open studio tour in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s a great opportunity to tour private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork. Over the last few decades, it has become the largest open studio tour in the country. Art-A-Whirl® takes place annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis, the third weekend of May.

Support local artists and make art central to your visit to the neighborhood that weekend by stopping by the Northrup King Building!

Are you ready for an Art Attack? The Northrup King Building's highly anticipated fall open studio event showcases four floors of amazing art and gifts that will attack all your senses – in a good way! Meet the artists, find a unique treasure, get your shopping done, or try your hand at an interactive art activity – all featured at our beautiful and historic arts building.
